Ryan graduated from Washburn University School of Law in 2016 in the top 20% of his class, achieving Dean’s Honors. Also, Ryan completed his J.D. degree in only two years (rather than the usual three), an accomplishment shared by very few law school graduates. His studies emphasized family law and litigation, and he has practiced exclusively in family law since graduation. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Ryan graduated with a Master’s degree in theater arts and taught theater at the community college level, worked as an employment counselor for people with disabilities, and as a family law paralegal. Ryan is married with three children. Outside of work he enjoys watching TED Talks, sociopolitical discussions, reading to people in outrageous accents and making people laugh.
